TAGBILARAN CITY—The Fee on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday proclaimed Provincial Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite because the newly elected vice governor of Bohol province.
Balite garnered a complete of 361,722 votes whereas his rival, Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos, bought 323,998 votes.
Relampagos on Tuesday already conceded the race to Balite.
Balite, in his marketing campaign sorties, likened himself to the balete tree which stays sturdy and robust even within the midst of nature’s fury.
