UNC Vice Chancellor Explains Why He Resigned

Terry Magnuson, the vice chancellor for analysis on the College of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who resigned final week after he was cited for plagiarism, issued a letter to his colleagues Friday taking accountability for his mistake and explaining what occurred.

The nationwide Workplace of Analysis Integrity discovered that Magnuson, a professor of genetics at UNC’s faculty of drugs, “engaged in analysis misconduct by deliberately, knowingly, or recklessly plagiarizing textual content” in a federal grant utility for most cancers analysis.
